Winter Brook has been in operation for over 20 years, working and caring for hundreds of horses, and providing education and training to hundreds of riders – visiting shows and going on trail rides.
WBF features one large barn with a connected indoor riding arena, tack room, locker room, and grooming stall – plus a second smaller barn. Between both barns, Winter Brook offers 29 horse stalls, both barns equipped with hot and cold water, as well as an on-site bathroom.
Outside – Winter Brook has multiple paddocks for daily turnout, as well as several outdoor riding enclosures, and a large outdoor arena.

Edna Pobuda
Owner & Lesson Trainer
Edna has over 40 years of horsemanship experience, starting at the age of 14, working on a local racetrack as a hot walker and warm-up rider. She spent many years working as a Mounted Park Ranger in New York, eventually reaching a supervisory role with the NYPD Mounted Unit.
She has worked for over 30 years here at Winter Brook Farm, owning, breeding and training horses. She takes great pride in offering excellent care and nutrition as well as regimen for horses under her care as a building block to a better horse.
Edna gives lessons in all disciplines to students aged 4 and up, all lessons start with the basics of horse handling and care, and progresses at the rate of the student. The majority of Edna’s students have gone on to have their own horses, and become successful trainers, perform in shows, or become barn managers themselves.
