Winter Brook’s Owner and Lesson Trainer offers lessons for all ages. She teaches Huntseat, Western, English, Dressage and Jumping. Prices vary depending on how many lessons you purchase at once. All lessons start with basics of horse care and safety, and will progress at the speed the student is comfortable with.
Private Lessons (Ages 8+)
- Single Lesson – $45/hr
- Package of 5 Lessons – $200 ($40/hr)
- Package of 10 Lessons – $350 ($35/hr)
Youngster Lessons (Ages 4-8)
- Single Lesson – $25/half hour
- Package of 5 Lessons – $100 ($20/half hour)
- Package of 10 Lessons – $200 ($20/half hour)
Group Lessons (Ages 8+)
- Single Lesson – $40/hr
- Package of 5 Lessons – $175 ($35/hr)
- Package of 10 Lessons – $300 ($30/hr)
Edna Pobuda
Owner & Lesson Trainer
Edna has over 40 years of horsemanship experience, starting at the age of 14, working on a local racetrack as a hot walker and warm-up rider. She spent many years working as a Mounted Park Ranger in New York, eventually reaching a supervisory role with the NYPD Mounted Unit.
She has worked for over 30 years here at Winter Brook Farm, owning, breeding and training horses. She takes great pride in offering excellent care and nutrition as well as regimen for horses under her care as a building block to a better horse.
Edna gives lessons in all disciplines to students aged 4 and up, all lessons start with the basics of horse handling and care, and progresses at the rate of the student. The majority of Edna’s students have gone on to have their own horses, and become successful trainers, perform in shows, or become barn managers themselves.
